Modern

Students learn about the intricate relationships of time, space and energy as applied to movement. Students explore their own movement through improvisational techniques, while learning choreographed dance material. Modern dance in an important vehicle for adding depth to the dance experience.

Modern 1- Beginning to intermediate student. Ballet required in addition.

Modern 2- Advanced and requires permission of director. Ballet is required in addition.

Lyrical

Requires a ballet class. Lyrical dance is expressive, simultaneously subtle and dynamic, focused on conveying musicality and emotion through movement. Ballet is the primary basis. Requires permission of placement and permission of director. Leaps/turns

Beg. Lyrical -Ages 9-Up requires ballet
